Asha Shelar
Asha Shelar is an Indian actress known primarily for her work in the Marathi film and television industries.An alumna of the Lala Lajpat Rai College in Mumbai, Shelar established a successful career in acting, becoming an integral part of Marathi media. Her works in both film and television are notable, with her performances consistently appreciated even in brief screen appearances.On television, she appeared in the Marathi series Honar Sun Me Hya Gharchi, portraying the character Sashikala in the drama that focuses on a girl navigating life with six mothers-in-law. She also played the role of Aatya for the male lead in the Zee Marathi drama Khulata Kali Khulena.Her film credits include several Marathi movies. In the feature film Nadi Vahate, which is based on conserving small village rivers, Shelar played the mother of the female lead. She also appeared in Gachchi (released in 2017), a film centered on the financial difficulties of its central characters, where she portrayed the mother of the male lead who struggles with his late father's loans. Shelar took on a prominent role in the movie 31 Divas (released in 2018). She also appeared in the film Dashakriya.She has also been a part of the comedy mini-series Shree Kamdev Prasanna, which was produced by Hungama and is available on Hungama Play.
