Ronald Prouty was born Ronald George Sarquiz III in Burbank, CA. His ancestry is English, Scottish, Polish and Lebanese. Ronald completed residency training at the Second City, Los Angeles as a main stage repertoire player. He moved to the UK to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and complete his theatrical studies in London. After which, he headed back to the US to appear in film and television programs.
