P Virumandi is from a small village called 'Karumathur' near Usilampatti in Madurai district and now settled in Chennai. He is the eldest son of actor Periya Periya Karuppu Thevar. He was worked as Assistant Director for 12 years with Director Selva from 'Manikanda' to 'Nan Avan Illai'. And worked as a Co-Directer in Gopi Nainar's 'Aramm'. Vijay Sethupathi, Aishwarya Rajesh, Rangaraj Pandey, Vela Ramamoorthy, Poo Ramu and Munishkanth star in his first film Ka / Pea Ranasingam, produced by KJR Studios.
