Navi Bhangu said in an interview that he initially didn't wish to play Arjun in the series. When Siddartha Tewary first met him and told Navi that he has been selected for Arjuna in one of the biggest shows of India. Hearing this, Navi got mad as he didn't wished to play a negative role. He showed eagerness to play Yudhisthira who was the devotee brother of Karna whereas Arjuna was the antagonist of Karna which Bhangu avoided.
