Duncan Murdoch was born on June 28th, 1979 in in Burlington, Vermont to James and Alice Murdoch, an attorney and portrait painter, respectively and was the second of their two children. He attended Brooks School in N. Andover Massachusettes and Bates College in Lewiston, Maine where he earned a BA in Studio Art with studies in Florence, Italy. At Bates, he performed with the improv group, the Strange Bedfellows. He moved to New York City in 2001 and continued his training in improvisation at the Magnet Theater and dramatic training at the William Esper Studio. He continues his work in New York as an actor and director.
