He was born and brought up in Daltonganj , Jharkhand. and was inspired by Mani Ratnam to create cinema. Banty Dubey started his career with Television and went on to direct many short films. When the idea of making a film of his own emerged, Banty chose to work with a well-known performer like Raghubir Yadav along with some younger talent and a lot of established actors from theatre. Jacqueline, I Am Coming, is Banty Dubey's debut feature film.
