Amelia was born in Baltimore, Maryland into a family of writers. She always wanted to be an actor although her parents wouldn't allow her to begin a professional career until after college. She bided her time by attending The Baltimore School For the Arts and was then accepted into NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. Shortly after graduating with a BA in theater she landed a role Off-Broadway in Neil Labute's The Distance From Here, for which the ensemble won a Drama Desk Award. Since then she has worked consistently in theater and television. In her free time she is working on her first screenplay and also enjoys practicing yoga and cooking.
