RJ Rafiq born in Handwara Jammu and Kashmir. started his career as a radio jockey. He has also done shows like The Morning Show, Best Breakfest Programme on Commercial Broadcasting service All India Radio Srinagar, Rafiq entered Doordarshan and hosted agricultural show for a long time, he simultaneously stayed active in Event Management as emcee. He did few Music videos and later played a primary role in the 2018 Bollywood film Laila Majnu. He is now hosting Vellapanti with Rj Rafiq on red FM India.
