After a career as a safari guide Patrick started his acting career with Napac Opera company and went on to musicals and theatre, film and television. He has worked internationally and is based in London. Film work includes Invictus (2009), Goodbye Bafana, also known as The Color of Freedom (2007) and 22 episodes of the acclaimed television series Black Sails (2014 - 2016).
